CUSCO, QORICANCHA, SAQSAYHUMANA, Q`ENQO, PUCA PUCARA, TAMBOMACHAY

Qenqo.- Its name in Quechua means «labyrinth» and it is located 6 kilometers from the city of Cusco. This archaeological park was described as an amphitheater, since on the outside you can see a semicircular construction. In reality, the purpose of this construction is unknown since a ceremonial table, zigzag channels, niches, etc. can be seen. that could well have been used as an altar. It is presumed that it was one of the most important sanctuaries that existed in the Incas.
Puca Pucara.- In Quechua it means «Red Fortress» due to the red color that the rocks obtain, this old tambo was a military construction and surveillance post for the valley of Cusco and all the Quechua roads, this fortress was built by large walls , stairways and terraces that were part of the defensive complex of the Inca Empire Its construction is of a rustic type made up of streets, houses, and patios.
